We visited National Museum with 15 young people from Granton Youth back in March and spoke to climate scientists and museum staff about the issues facing the planet and young people’s generation! Inspired by this, and George Nku’s “Bottled Ocean” exhibition (which, not to brag, our young people also worked on), they made quilt tiles containing messages of hope and encouraging others and governments to take action.
We are please to report that the quilt and quotes from GY Young people is not on display in the main gallery and learning space of the National Museum of Scotland, if you want to know why Harrison’s seal was a source of much laughter, you’ll have to go see it!
